Most of us look to save where we can, especially in this day and economic conditions. House painting is no different, when it comes to saving money. A home exterior weathers from harsh elements of heat, cold, sun, and snow, and exterior paint ages over time needing repainting. Exterior trim, being that of solid wood is normally the first to show signs of painting maintenance. Many times a homeowner happens to call, asking for only painting the trim. Trim paint jobs sound good at first, but have some underlying thoughts may have not been considered. Below are things to consider when considering painting trim only. And, its never been more important to know your colors. Why? Because color is back in a big way! Just look at the vast variety of colors in the department stores. STIPPLING. Whether you desire the effect of stippling (tiny paint dots) as a decorative effect, or if you have a wall which has an uneven surface and you feel you can hide the defect by stippling it, you may accomplish this result very simply.

It's funny, but many of the colors that a paint company puts in its line would never look good painted on any wall. The colors are 100% used to grab your attention when you are perusing paint displays. People are helplessly attracted to bright colors; they are much more eye-catching and far more interesting to our brains. Take your time there is no rush. There is nothing wrong with having your project take a couple of weeks. The reality is that the guys shooting paint, even at the cheapest shops, know how to do it. They spray a dozen cars a week and have plenty of practice laying down smooth, consistent coats of paint. They work quickly and efficiently because they have to or they don't make money. They don't really make their money on shooting paint. They profit from body work because it takes time and insurance work because it pays well. THE LIGHT AND COLOR. The light and color in the painting will always be dictated by the artist's intention, the concept of the painting. So, consider the sources of color, the time of the day, the emotional impact of light and shades.

Lincoln was born in poverty in a log cabin and was raised on the frontier primarily in Indiana. He was self-educated and became a lawyer, Whig Party leader, Illinois state legislator, and U. S. Congressman from Illinois. In 1849 he returned to his law practice but became vexed by the opening of additional lands to slavery as a result of the Kansas–Nebraska Act. He reentered politics in 1854, becoming a leader in the new Republican Party and he reached a national audience in the 1858 debates against Stephen Douglas. Lincoln ran for President in 1860, sweeping the North in victory. Pro-slavery elements in the South equated his success with the North’s rejection of their right to practice slavery, and southern states began seceding from the union. To secure its independence, the new Confederate States of America fired on Fort Sumter, a U. S. fort in the South, and Lincoln called up forces to suppress the rebellion and restore the Union.
