If white color can be presented as a sum of all colors, then black is kind of like a lack of color. However, this color is not very important in the interior. Every evening we go back to night with pleasure to rejuvenate our strength. It is this color that gives the beginning to everything new. Black color is indispensable for contrast accentuation and separation of other colors, giving them brightness and expressiveness. It makes the interior graphic and clear as well as very stylish. Amateur house painters never had as much help as today. Scores of new paints and equipment placed on the market in the last few years make it possible for the weekend handyman to paint his own house almost as easily as a professional. From one-coat paints to disposable blowtorches, everything has been designed to make the job go faster, look better and cost less. There is still no standard labelling scheme for paint. The blue globe label, pioneered by B&Q, led to VOC reduction on the mass market and has been adopted by other brands, while the European Ecolabel, recognised in 15 EU member states, looks like a flower and appears on brands such as Earthborn. Germany also has a Blue Angel label and there is a green Nordic Swan as well. You will find more detailed information on most of the paint company's websites, as well as a wealth of practical and design advice.
Complementary colors are opposites, and if you look at a color wheel, they are directly across from each other. While complementary ones may seem kind of mysterious to a novice, you just have to bring to mind Christmas to find a great example that is familiar to everyone, red and green.By simply making these colors a little paler, you can make this color palette work really well. Color tones are important, because rust and moss, while still being red and green, do not scream 'Christmas'. If your choice of tones is bold, you will create an eye popping design. However, it is common to get off course. Airless Tip: If you have somebody who can start masking off the trim, have them start on that while you convert the airless to a new color. When changing colors with an airless paint sprayer it is a good idea to have a second bucket filled half way with clean water. Place the intake hose in the clean water gently without getting the old color everywhere in the water. Take the tip out of the airless and spray all of the old paint out of the hose and back into its original paint bucket. Be careful when doing this that you recognize when the paint starts turning watery. When it does point the gun into the first bucket and spray until it looks pretty clean. It doesn't need to be perfectly clean. When it looks good, clean off the intake line in the clean bucket and get the old color off the intake line. Now place the intake line inside of your new trim paint. Once you figure out which position is prime and which position is spray, place the valve in the prime position and grab the primer hose. Point the primer hose in the empty bucket near the top and at an aproxx.45 degree angle from the side (the reason for this is that there is likely to be pressure still built up in the airless and when you first switch on the airless to prime it, paint will likely burst out of the primer hose and you don't want to have it go everywhere). Now turn the airless paint sprayer on and you will see that the airless is sucking up the new paint and pumping out the primer hose. At first you will typically see a cleaning solution come out followed by your paint. When you see your paint coming out switch over the primer valve to the other position and you will see the airless pumping paint into the main hose. TEMPERATURE OF COLOR. Colors have temperature, referred to as warm or cool. In painting, reds, yellows and oranges are referred to as warm colors and blues, violets and greens are referred to as cool colors. One of the biggest lessons you will ever learn about color temperature though, is that the appearance of color can change drastically depending on its surroundings. For instance, a certain yellow would appear much hotter if it were surrounded by a violet then say an orange. Another important lesson in color temperature: Warm colors will advance in a painting and cool colors recede.
